Elk Grove’s Hidden Gem! McConnell Estates Wedding Venue is a one-of-a-kind 19th century property featuring a quaint 1800’s farmhouse, lovely gardens, gorgeous ceremony lawn, furnished and romantically lit outdoor cocktail space, and historic reception barn – all with picturesque vineyard backdrops. Our unique venue allows for a gorgeous wine country wedding that you and your guests will always remember. We can accommodate up to 250 guests comfortably.
At McConnell Estates, we are dedicated to creating uniquely personal events which create memories that last a lifetime! We only hold one wedding per day to ensure you receive the attention you deserve on your special day. Our property is centrally located in Elk Grove, CA just 20 minutes south of Sacramento for easy access to lodging, accomodations, and transportation.

What do our packages NOT include?
- Beverage package
- Catering and food services
- Day-of coordinator
- Outside vendors (DJ, Florist, Photobooth, etc)
- Table settings (plates, silverware, water goblets, centerpieces)
We allow you to choose whichever vendors you prefer to work with, our only stipulation is that they be licensed and insured to their industry standard
What is the beverage package?
- We require the purchase of a beverage package in addition to the venue rental fee and it includes your choice of red, white and sparkling wines, beers, seltzers, and his/hers wine cocktails
- We have mulitple beverage package levels between $10-$30 per guest
- The per-person price includes glassware, bartenders, and unlimited pours
What does a wedding day at McConnell Estates look like?
- Bridal suite access starting at 10:00am for you and your bridesmaids to get ready.
- Groom’s cottage access starting at 12:00pm for you and your groomsmen to get ready.
- Ceremony starts at 5:00pm.
- Cockail hour in our furnished outdoor courtyard begins immediately following the ceremony.
- Reception begins in our barn venue following cocktail hour.
- Reception ends at 10:00pm.
- All guests must vacate the property by 11:00pm.

Wedding Inquiry
Can I bring in my own catering?
Yes! We do not have catering onsite. All catering choices must be licensed and insured to serve food. We request a walk through with all wedding caterers.
Can I bring in my own alcohol?
No. Our ABC license allows us to serve beer and wine only. All beverages must be purchased through McConnell Estates Winery.
Who do you get beer from?
We are contracted with Golden Brands for beer and seltzer, and can provide select craft beers through Flatland Brewing Co.
What about Non-Alcoholic Beverages?
We serve standard non-alcoholic beverages with your beverage package. (Including but not limited to soda, water, sparkling water – can be customized for your wedding). McConnell Estates can also provide additional add-on services for freshly made lemonade, iced tea and coffee.
Do you offer refrigeration for cake/dessert?
We do not have any refrigeration on site. We suggest cakes/desserts get delivered as close to service time as possible. During the summer, there is an option to hold them day-of in the air-conditioned farm house.
What size tables do you provide?
Our standard tables for guests are 60” rounds that seat up to 8 guests.
What linen colors are available?
Our standard linen color is off-white cottonesse. We contract with Alter Event Co. for our events, and can provide other options and/or colors upon request.
What chairs do you provide?
White resin chairs with padded seats are included for both the ceremony and reception. We provide 2 sets of chairs for the ceremony and reception.
Farm Table description and details.
We have 5 handmade farm tables included in our venue rental package. (4 standard height and 1 high top). These tables are often used for: sweetheart and/or wedding party tables, dessert tables, sign in, photobooth props, catering, and more.
Outside Vendors.
You can bring in all your own vendors with McConnell Estates approval EXCEPT alcohol. For certain categories of vendors, you must provide us with an insurance certificate naming McConnell Estates Winery as an additionally insured party.
Do I need to provide insurance?
Yes, you must carry a basic event policy. All outside vendors must be licensed and insured in the manner applicable with their service.
Does McConnell Estates require a Day-Of Coordinator?
Yes, it is required and the responsibility of the renting party to provide their own day-of coordinator. McConnell Estates will provide an Event Manager on site throughout the event to assist with venue logistics.
